Behind The Scenes At Changi

A new exhibition at Singapore's Changi Airport (SIN) provides insights into how it handles over 600 flights a day. The exhibition in Changi's Terminal 2 explains the logistics behind this busy airport and the history of aviation in Singapore. Visitors get a close-up view of aircraft on the ground and 600 model aircraft suspended from the gallery ceiling also give a graphic demonstration of the volume of air traffic. A series of eight interactive information islands explain airport vehicles such as passenger mobile steps, lavatory trucks and refueling trucks. The airport workings from baggage handling through horticulture to rescue services are also displayed. Passengers can also check their weight on a baggage scale. The Changi Aviation gallery is open 24 hours and admission is free.
