IHG Opens South Korean Mountain Resort
InterContinental Hotels Group has opened a mountain resort in Alpensia, South Korea's premier all-year resort, a purpose built, alpine-style village in the Taebaek mountains. The InterContinental Alpensia Pyeongchang Resort is two and half hours away from Seoul by road and offers a host of outdoor activities in spectacular countryside. World-class leisure facilities at the 238-room InterContinental Alpensia Pyeongchang Resort include an Olympic-class ski park, a 27-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and the Ocean 700 water-park. Other facilities include the Planet Trekkers kids’ club, a spa, a conference centre, and an open-air concert hall.
