China Southern Launches Air Express Route
China Southern Airlines has launched a new air express service between its hub in Guangzhou (CAN) and Wuhan (WUH). Fourteen shuttle flights per day will connect the two provincial capitals. China Southern will operate flights every hour from 08:00 to 22:00 each day. To speed up the boarding process there is a dedicated check-in counter, boarding gate, security channel, and baggage claim area so that shuttle passengers can check in up to 30 minutes before departure. The airline also extended online check-in, SMS check-in and mobile phone boarding services in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and launched its second-generation identity card boarding service in Wuhan airport. The airline says the new service will compete with the new Wuhan–Guangzhou passenger high-speed railway line, opened this month.
