UA Cuts Fares On Trans-Pacific Routes

United Airlines has announced new economy airfares on the competitive trans-Pacific routes between Australia and the United States. The airline is offering return flights from Sydney (SYD) to either Los Angeles (LAX) or New York (JFK/EWR) from just AUD 595 plus approximately AUD 339 tax, while return fares to San Francisco (SFO) from Sydney start at AUD 695 plus AUD 336 tax. Return tickets from Melbourne (MEL) to San Francisco start at AUD 695 plus AUD 342 tax. Tickets must be issued before Aug. 10 for departures before Nov. 30.
