Korean Air Expands Codeshare
Korean Air has expanded its codeshare arrangement with Uzbekistan Airways. The two airlines now operate under a mutual free-sale agreement which allows either airline to book and sell seats on the partner airline’s passenger flight without restriction, as long as the inventory is open. Until now, only Uzbekistan Airways was able to place its code on Korean Air flights. Korean Air operates three round-trip flights a week between Seoul (INC) and the Uzbek capital Tashkent (TAS). Uzbekistan Airways has two flights a week on the same route. Under the new agreement, Korean Air customers will be able to choose from a wider schedule when traveling to Central Asia and will be able accrue Skypass miles on codeshare flights.
