New Services From Sydney
Delta Air Lines has commenced daily flights between Sydney (SYD) and Los Angeles (LAX). This makes Delta the fourth carrier to fly the trans-Pacific route, joining Qantas, United Airlines and Virgin's V Australia. "Australia is a very important market for Delta as we expand our global network," said Delta’s Australian general manager Steven Crowdey. In the same week, Sydney airport has also added a new domestic service —Singapore Airlines’ Tiger Airways launched its new low-cost service on the busy Sydney to Melbourne (MEL) route.
