Amantaka Opens In Laos
Amanresorts has opened a luxury resort in Luang Prabang, the former royal capital of Laos. The 24-suite Amantaka incorporates 15 French-colonial-style buildings that were once part of the city's old provincial hospital. Suites range in size from 70 to 120 square metres. The entire city of Luang Prabang is a World Heritage site and nine of the former hospital buildings are protected by UNESCO’s World Heritage guidelines. Amantaka is located in the heart of the city, and many historical and cultural attractions are within easy walking distance of the resort.
